The Croatian Softball Association is the governing body for softball in Croatia. We have been members of the International Softball Federation (ISF) since 1992, and of the European Softball Federation (ESF) since 1996.
The sport is in its fourth year in Croatia, and so far we have 6 softball teams. They are all women's fast-pitch teams. The Croatian National Team competed at the VIII Women's World Fast Pitch Championship, St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada in 1994 and at the European Women's Softball pre-Olympics' Tournament, Haarlem, The Netherlands in 1995. In 1996, after becoming a full member of ESF, the Croatian teams were allowed to compete in European Cups, and the team "Princ Dugave" won the first international game at the European Cup of Cups, Haarlem, The Netherlands. In 1997 the Croatian National Team will for the first time compete at the European Women's Softball Championship, Prague, the Czech Republic, 30th June - 6th July 1997.
It might be said that softball has been gradually developing in Croatia, and any help that can be offered to make it better is more than welcome.
